ABAQUS/Python-based extension study on post-processing module of NC tube bending

Abstract

With developing of NC tube bending, the post-process module is demanded for achieving the estimation of tube blanking, the compensation of tube springback and providing basis for equipment energetic parameter selection. Based on the post-process module of NC tube bending exploited by this laboratory, some practical post-process functions were accomplished, including calculation of elongation, proportion springback ratio, fixed springback ratio of tube, clamping force and boosting force of dies. A friendly Chinese GUI was developed to enhance the practicability of the post-process module, and its availability was verified by instance. The results can be reference for other plastic processes.
