Abstract

In order to meet the demand of power supply and information feedback for autonomous underwater vehicles (AUV), this paper proposes a quadrature-coil-based simultaneous power and information transfer system. The power is transferred from the primary side to the secondary side through the DD coil, and the information is transferred by placing a circular coil in the low field intensity area of the DD coil to reduce the interference of the power channel on the information channel. It is found that the increase of the turn numbers and the current of the DD coil will reduce the area of the central low field strength, and the information coil has a good ability to resist axial misalignment. An experimental platform was built to realize the synchronous transmission of power and information with the information transmission rate of 20kbps.
