A new method of automatic evaluation of detection result using evaluation factors and grey relational analysis (GRA)

Abstract

Section 1 of the full paper constructs the mathematical description of each of three evaluation factors of the current detection result: (1) the detection inertia of the total area of several objects; (2) the detection inertia of the number of objects; (3) a certain similarity of each entire frame, given by eq. (6) of the full paper. Section 2 gives a seven-step procedure of using GRA to obtain automatically a quantitative and integrated evaluation of detection result. Section 3 gives a numerical example, whose results show that our new method of automatic evaluation of detection result, using evaluation factors and GRA, is effective.
