Abstract

Analytical hierarchy process (AHP) and Dempster-Shafer theory of evidence are widely applied to the multi-criteria decision making (MCDM) problem. Due to the difference of structure and property of information under different uncertain environment, it requires specific method in specific environment to solve the MCDM problem. In this paper, based on a DS/AHP method and an extension of the ordered weighted average (OWA) operator, called continuous interval argument OWA (C-OWA) operator, a new MCDM method is proposed. It stands on the original DS/AHP method. However, within the new method, it is adopted to determine the degree of favourability and knowledge matrix. The proposed method is especially suitable for the MCDM problem under interval uncertainty. The results of an example show the efficiency of the proposed method.
