Abstract

Decision making is affected by many factors, including objective information and subjective information. Dempster-Shafer theory of evidence is an effective mathematic tool to deal with uncertainty in the decision making. However, in many cases the objective information and subjective information are difficult to represent and combine. In this paper, a new decision making method is developed based on the idea that the uncertain subjective information is treated as a constraint about the objective information. In the meanwhile, a new combination approach of evidences and a new probability transformation approach are proposed. The proposed method can be easily applied to the real application environment. An illustrative case is given to show the effectiveness of the proposed method.
