Abstract

The increment iteration form of ZWT nonlinear visco-elastic constitutive model is deduced. The definition methods for user material subroutine and failure criterion in software LS-DYNA3D are introduced. Through a numerical example, the user material subroutine of ZWT nonlinear visco-elastic constitutive model is compiled and the key word definition method is applied to study failure criterion for aircraft windshield against bird strike. The contact-impact coupled algorithm is used to the FE numerical simulation of bird strike. The results show that failure of aircraft windshield against bird strike can be studied by use of combination of material subroutine compilation and key word definition.
