A clustering Algorithm based on energy estimate for heterogeneous wireless sensor networks

Clustering Algorithm is an important technique to prolong the lifetime of wireless sensor networks. This paper proposes a new clustering algorithm based on distributed energy estimate for energy heterogeneous wireless sensor networks in the different situations, which employs energy more efficiently. Simulation results show that the new clustering algorithm prolongs the lifetime of the network and increases the throughput effectively.
