Abstract

An electrically small antenna (or miniature antenna) can exhibit unidirectional super-directivity if it can be made to radiate two or more properly phased spherical wave modes. Alternatively, this behavior can be described in terms of it being able to simultaneously excite two or more characteristic modes over a specified frequency band.
