Abstract
In order to deeply discuss the influence of coupling between phased array antenna elements on active element pattern, based on the S-parameter of the array antenna, the calculation formula of the coupling excited coefficient of the array antenna element is given. Then,the active element patterns are simulated by using the coupling excited coefficient.Two linear dipole array antennas are analyzed with method of moment (MoM) for verifying the amplitude and phase of the coupling excited coefficient with the induced current. The active element patterns simulated by the proposed method agree with the results by MoM very well. The formula for acquiring coupling excited coefficients is effective to analyze the active element patterns.
