Abstract

Wireless power transfer (WPT), which could effectively enhance the freedom and safety of power supply, has broad application prospects. Electromagnetic security issue must be solved in the promotion process of WPT technology. This paper focused on the research progress on electromagnetic interference (EMI) suppression of a WPT system. Beginning with the analysis of EMI source, the calculation methods of electromagnetic field around WPT system and evaluation means of electromagnetic shielding were introduced. Secondly, EMI suppression methods, which are active, passive electromagnetic shielding, and other measures taken in WPT system design procedure were presented and investigated, respectively. Some novel electromagnetic shielding materials and their applications in the WPT system were presented. Finally, some urgent problems and development trends on EMI suppression of the WPT system were further investigated.
