Abstract

The research progress in tungsten carbide(WC)cladding layer was reviewed,focusing on influence of laser cladding process parameters and auxiliary technology on the quality,structure and properties of the coating. The influence of tungsten carbide on the wear resistance and corrosion resistance of high entropy alloy composite coating was explored,and the strengthening mechanism of tungsten carbide on cladding layer was expounded. The application of numerical simulation technology and first principles in laser cladding tungsten carbide metal matrix composite powder was discussed. The existing problems and prospects in laser cladding of tungsten carbide metal matrix composite coatings were presented.
