Abstract

To establish a collaborative information platform of product design oriented to users, designers, engineers and decision makers, and to utilize the design knowledge in cases, a case-driven collaborative design knowledge management model was put forward. Based on the analysis of design knowledge flow patterns among users, decision makers, designers and engineers in the development of new products, the mapping model of case-based knowledge collaboration and information interaction process model was established, an extraction method of design knowledge based on Markov model proposed, and the case-driven collaborative design knowledge management framework which realized in software with specific project was built. Through case-driven collaborative design knowledge management model, the design knowledge of existing domain case was introduced into design solution of new project design problem. All the design information needed for new product development and design process management could be obtained, reused and innovated in real-time from the domain case design knowledge base until the completion of entire design project. The specific application of case-driven collaborative design knowledge management software platform was taken as an example to prove the feasibility and rationality of the model by crane modeling design project.
