Abstract
Organic semiconductor diode memory devices based on nanoparticles is one of the hot topics in organic optoelectronics and information storage fields. Nanoparticles doped into the organic diode memory can effectively optimize and modulate the memory characteristics. This review introduces the basic device structures and the methods of their preparation. We summarize the effects of nanoparticle species, morphology, concentration, surface modification and hybrid matrix on the memory performance of the devices. Three memory mechanisms are discussed. Finally, we review the challenges and future research directions.
