摘要
The tunable hydrothermal synthesis of bismuth ferrites with various morphologies are investigated. Well defined Bi12Fe 0.63O18.945 crystals and nano- and submicrometer-sized BiFeO3 particles with different regular shapes have been obtained by controlling the hydrothermal conditions. All the synthesized samples were found to be phase pure by X-ray diffraction (XRD). The composition has been determined by analysis of the X-ray single crystal data and further confirmed by wavelength-dispersive X-ray fluorescence. The morphology of the sample strongly depends on the ph value of the precursor solution. It was observed that the temperature dependence of the zero-field-cooled (ZFC) and field-cooled (FC) susceptibility measured under under a field almost overlaps the FC curve and a slight divergence is observable from 20 to 120 K. it was also observed that a strong alkaline solution and a high reaction temperature yield stoichiometric products.
