Trajectory optimization with multiple constraints for a guided bomb using a pseudospectral method

摘要

The problem of trajectory optimization for a glide-guided bomb is studied using a Radau pseudospectral method. The objective is to determine an optimal control law for a high lift-to-drag ratio bomb to maximize its range and meet multiple constraints at the same time. The trajectory optimization problem is formulated as an optimal control problem and transcribed to a nonlinear programming via a Radau pseudospectral method; then it is solved using a sparse nonlinear optimization algorithm. Optimization simulation is conducted according to the designed algorithm and a comparison with conventional trajectory is presented. Simulation results show that the Radau pseudospectral method is an effective way to solve the trajectory optimization problem with multiple constraints. The maximum range after optimization can be extended more than 10%.
