摘要
During the installation and operation of water lubricated bearings (WLB), the propulsion system will undergo elastic bending. It has remarkable impact on the bearing's load-carrying capacity, friction and reliability performance. A modified model incorporating the deflection and micro asperity-contact effect is constructed. The functional relationship between the reliability and operating conditions is built. Effects of deflection conditions on the bearing reliability and the underlying mechanisms are systematically investigated. Combined with the Archard wear theory, a wear prediction model is established. The wear behaviors under different operating modules are researched. Experimental results are exploited to validate accuracy and rationality of the model. Results indicate that deflection effects will reduce interface film thickness, while deteriorate wear and deformation of the bush.
