N2 - Antibody-antimicrobial conjugates (AACs) are a promising therapeutic strategy for delivering antimicrobial agents to target pathogens and treating associated infections. Compared with traditional antibiotics, AACs offer more precise bacterial targeting, enhancing biocompatibility and reducing the risk of drug resistance. This chapter summarizes the design of drug delivery systems, the mechanisms of bacterial binding, and the applications of AACs in bacterial detection and infection therapy. Finally, we highlight the main challenges that need to be overcome for the clinical application of AACs.
