Surface roughness prediction and processing parameters optimization in abrasive cloth wheel polishing process for blade

摘要

To reduce surface roughness and improve surface integrity and mechanical property of aviation engine blade, the polishing parameters of abrasive cloth wheel were carried out. Influence rules of abrasive cloth wheel polishing parameters on surface roughness were analyzed by single-factor experiments, and the optimal range of each polishing process parameters were determined. Roughness prediction model was established by using orthogonal central combination test and multiple quadratic regression method. The significance of prediction model was verified with variance and residual analyses. The optimal level of each factor was obtained through prediction model, and the response surfaces of polishing parameters were obtained. The optimized process parameters were obtained by analyzing the response surfaces. The optimum process parameters were applied to make the blade polishing test, and the test results showed that the prediction model and the optimized process parameters could significantly improve the polishing quality of the blade.
