摘要
Researchers report a simple wet-chemical approach to synthesize the ultrathin Pd nanosheets (NS) decorated with submonolayered Ru, referred to as Pd@Ru NSs, by a seed-mediated growth method. Impressively, the obtained Pd@Ru NSs exhibit superior catalytic properties toward the reduction of 4-nitrophenol and the semihydrogenation of 1-octyne compared to the pure ultrathin Pd NSs and Ru NSs. A representative transmission electron microscopy (TEM) image and high-angle annular dark-field scanning transmission electron microscopy (HAADF-STEM) image show that the obtained products are consisted of uniform NSs with lateral size and thickness. The aberration-corrected HAADF-STEM image of a single flat NS indicates the lattice fringes with an interplanar spacing of 0.23 nm, corresponding to the 1/3(422) planes of face-centered-cubic (fcc) Pd.
