Study on the Interaction of Geometrical Parameters of T-Shaped Groove Casing Treatment for Axial Compressors

摘要

This study investigates the T-shaped single groove casing treatment for the high-load axial compressor isolated rotor NASA Rotor 37. Utilizing design of experiments (DOE) and response surface methodology (RSM), the effects of key geometric parameters and their interactions on stall margin improvement of compressors are analyzed. The results show that among the geometrical parameters of T-shaped single groove casing treatment, the closer the axial position of the groove opening is to the leading edge, the higher the stall margin improvement gain of the casing treatment; the deeper the straight groove depth, the better the stabilization effect of the casing treatment. With the increase of the horizontal groove depth, the stabilizing effect of the casing treatment shows a tendency to first increase and then decrease. This study effectively reveals the influence law of key parameters and the multi-parameter interaction law of T-shaped groove, which helps the geometric parameterization screening at the initial stage of T-shaped groove casing treatment design.
