title = "Relativistic transfer for time synchronization on Earth-Orbiting satellite",
abstract = "For the space-borne timing or timekeeping system, the relativistic effect has become an important aspect. This paper outlines the fundamental concepts of relativistic time transfer, using relativistic theory to research a wide range of temporal-spatial transfer due to clock measurement error and the way time synchronization between ground and space, from which the components and magnitudes of various relativistic effects for space-borne clocks on GPS satellites and other Earth satellites are derived. The paper proposes compensating secular relativistic effects by clock frequency correction and reducing periodic relativistic effects by real-time compensation. The calculation and simulation results show that the analysis and proposed error eliminating methods are effective. It provides technical requirements for navigation satellite orbit design which is based on timekeeping, and can improve clock synchronization.",
