摘要

To reveal the influence of milling parameters on residual stresses in the process of titanium alloy's disk milling, the orthogonal experiments consisted of three factors and three levels were designed. The relationships between milling speed, milling depth, feed speed and residual stresses were established, and the influence mechanisms were analyzed. The results showed that the surface residual stress of workpiece was compressive stress, and the milling speed had the greatest influence on residual stress, followed by the feed speed, and the milling depth had no significant effect. Moreover, Support Vector Machine (SVM) modeling technique was used for prediction of the surface residual stress to optimize the disk milling parameters with the results obtained from the experiments. The empirical exponential regression model was achieved and additional milling experiments were completed to validate SVM approach.
