摘要

In order to estimate motion parameters of an underwater object, a Doppler model was constructed based on relative motion between acoustic source and receiver. The cross L-Wigner distribution (XLWD) was applied to precisely estimate the Doppler shift of the radiated tone noise as instantaneous frequency estimator. In the meantime, the time-varying amplitude of the received Doppler signal was obtained by XLWD. Then the motion parameters of the underwater moving object were estimated by a weighted nonlinear least square algorithm. The results of sea data analysis show that the probabilities that the magnitudes of the relative errors for the estimated abeam range and speed that are within 20% of the actual values are greater than 0.85 and 0.96, and it validates the proposed method.
