Multidisciplinary optimization design system for turbine blade

摘要

An integrated, three-dimensional, multi-disciplinary optimization design system for turbine blades has been set up, which enables the design and analysis of certain blades optimized involving five disciplines. In this system, quintic polynomial is used for parameter modeling of three-dimensional turbine blades, and unit linear interpolation method used for transfer of interdisciplinary load information, while MIGA (Multi-island Genetic Algorithm) and SQP (Sequential Quadratic Programming) are used for overall optimization. The case study shows that, optimization efforts could improve greatly the performance of turbine blades, and the system exhibits higher stability, feasibility and efficiency for engineering applications.
