摘要
Purpose. In naval underwater communication, security is very often highly important. Chaotic sequence is especially suitable when security is important. We are the first in China to present a secure underwater acoustic frequency-hopping (FH) communication system based on chaotic sequence. In the full paper, we explain in much detail secure underwater acoustic communication system with strong antijamming and anti-interruption capability; here we just list the three topics discussed in the detailed explanation; (1) underwater acoustic FH communication system; (2) chaotic FH pattern, whose three subtopics are balance property, correlation, and hopping gap; (3) analysis of performance of underwater acoustic FH communication system. The simulated results show preliminarily that the system's error bit rate is smaller than 10-6 either when the SNR is bigger than -19 dB or when the SIR (signal interruption rate) is bigger than -13 dB and, at the same time, the SNR is equal or smaller than -15 dB. The 3 km, 10 km, and 15 km lake experimental results show preliminarily that underwater acoustic FH communication system based on chaotic sequence can be used in secure underwater acoustic communication.
