Investigation on structure and thermal properties of C/C composite reinforced by needle punching composite fabric

摘要

After T-300 carbon fiber plain cloths and PAN pre-oxidized fiber web were laminated, punched and carbonized, qua-si-3D structure cylindrical composite fabric was prepared. When density of composite fabric was up to some constant value during the CVD process, two different processes were used for preparation of C/C composite. The composite reinforced structure was analyzed with a metallograph, and thermal physical properties of material were measured. The results show that needle punching of web fiber along radial direction evidently reinforce integral structure of composite; the punched radial fibers appear in the form of fiber cluster, which isn't perfectly perpendicular; the process has significantly effect on fiber distribution form. At 800°C, thermal diffusion coefficient of C/C composite along axial and radial direction, which takes CVD and resin carbon as matrix and are treated at 1800° high temperature, are respectively 0.064 cm2/s and 0.0267 cm2/s; specific heat capacity are respectively 1.928 × 103 J/(kg·K) and 2.278 × 103 J/(kg·K); thermal diffusion coefficient of C/C composite along axial and radial direction, which takes CVD and pitch carbon as matrix and are treated at 2500°C high temperature, are respectively 0.159 cm2/s and 0.067 cm2/s; specific heat capacity are respectively 1.597 × 10 J/(kg·K) and 1.713 × 10 J/(kg·K). Finally, thermal property difference caused by two processes was analyzed.
