N2 - This article conducts research on the support characteristics of ship water lubricated stern bearings under misaligned load conditions. The lubrication model of bearing is established. The calculation method of comprehensive bearing stiffness of stern bearing under partial load condition is developed. The mapping relationship between partial load angle, clearance ratio and takeoff speed, support stiffness and minimum water film thickness is clarified. The mechanism by which the structural parameters of the stern bearing affect the comprehensive support characteristics under eccentric load conditions is revealed. The results show that compared with the unbiased load, the critical takeoff speed of the lubrication interface of stern bearing, and increases greatly; The magnitude of the deflection angle is positively correlated with the comprehensive support stiffness of the stern bearing. The research results provide theoretical support for the calculation and analysis of support stiffness and dynamic response of water lubrication stern bearing in ship propulsion system.
