N2 - The flowfield of the blockerless thrust reverser is investigated numerically; the effect of cascade inlet installation angle on the thrust reverse effectiveness is discussed. Result show that the mass flow, flow velocity and flow direction through the cascade slot are notably influenced by the cascade installation angle, then the thrust reverse efficiency is changed correspondingly. For the different fan inlet pressure ratio, an optimal cascade installation angle exists, which makes the thrust reverse efficiency best. The flow has different energy due to the different value of the fan inlet pressure ratio. The lower the fan inlet pressure is, the smaller energy the flow has, the flow deflection of the bypass flow forced by the secondary flow injection becomes stronger, and the corresponding flow angle in the cascade slot is bigger, resulting in a larger optimal cascade installation angle.
