摘要

Increasing aero-engine temperatures accelerate water vapor generation in combustion chambers, where water-oxygen environments exhibit 10 times higher corrosive permeability than dry oxygen, hastening component degradation. This study investigates high-temperature water-oxygen corrosion in directionally solidified Al2O3/YAG eutectic ceramics at 1300–1500 °C. Results show no macroscopic defects post-corrosion, with only minor property degradation. After 100 h at 1500°C, mass change is less than 10−2 mg/mm2, lamellar spacing Δλ < 1.6 μm, and flexural strength declined by less than 11 %, demonstrating exceptional corrosion resistance. The findings reveal corrosion mechanisms, aiding the design of the next generation of ultra-high-temperature structural materials for extreme environments.
