Fast detection of bridges in SAR images

A method of bridges detection in SAR (Synthetic aperture radar) images without filtering is proposed in this paper. It includes three algorithms: river segmentation, Beamtet Transform and bridge detection. Since bridges are over the rivers, the river was segmented firstly by thresholding and post-processing. Then Fast Beamlet transform was carried out only for the river region to detect linear features. Based on Beamlet transform, we proposed an algorithm of bridges detection. The bridges were detected according to their features correctly. It received good results in the experiments.
