摘要
In order to improve interface bonding property between fiber and matrix and the mechanical property of C/SiC composites, three kinds of surface treatment methods were applied to carbon fiber tows. The effects of three kinds of surface treatment methods on tensile strength of C/SiC minicomposites were investigated. The results show that the surface of fiber treated at 1800°C becomes rough under Ar gas; the tensile strength of treated fiber is 2.4 times that of carbon fiber without treatment; the surface roughness of fiber after CVI PyC treatment becomes small, and the tensile strength is 3.1 times that of the carbon fiber withiout treatment; the surface of fiber after high-temperature and CVI PyC treatment becomes smooth, and tensile strength attains the maximum value, 708 MPa.
