摘要

One reason why the forging of FGH96 (Chinese PM Ni-based Superalloy) superalloy is often unsatisfactory is the lack of its processing maps. We now present the results of our research on determining such maps. The hot workability of FGH96 superalloy has been investigated by means of hot compression tests carried out in the strain rate range of 0.001-0.1 s-1 and the temperature range of 1000-1100°C. A constitutive equation of FGH96 superalloy for the flow stress, eq.(4) in the full paper, has been given. Keeping in mind the effects of the deformation temperatures and the strain rates on deformation behavior and workability of FGH96, we generated its power dissipation maps on the basis of dynamic materials modeling. Unstable deformation regions were defined by applying the stability criteria and instability maps were obtained. The processing maps, give respectively in Fig.4 in the full paper for different true strains of 0.07, 0.08, 0.10, 0.15, 0.20, 0.30, 0.40 and 0.50, were obtained by combining power dissipation maps with instability maps. The feasible processing parameters ranges were defined by the processing maps.
