摘要

A conformal "buried in"antenna with omnidirectional property is proposed in this paper. Traditional conformal antennas are always above the carrier and it will affect the fluid mechanics of the carrier. If the antenna can be buried in the carrier, the fluid mechanics characters will be better. The proposed antenna has four parts: the conical metal radiator, the conical backed cavity, the substrate between the radiator and cavity for guiding the wave, and the sleeve structures for wide bandwidth. The antenna radome and the thermal-protective coating layer outside of the carrier are also considered in the design. The simulated results are given, which show that the proposed antenna can cover 1.25 GHz to 2.0 GHz with VSWR<3.0 and the radiation patterns are good over this frequency band.
