摘要

Real-time simulation is an enabling technology for the model-based design, validation, as well as prognosis, and health management of the power electronics converters. As a digital replica of the converter, the fidelity of the real-time simulation will have a great impact on the performance of its enabled tools. In this paper, a datasheet-driven electro-thermal modeling method is proposed for the FPGA-based real-time simulation of power electronics converters. The electrical and thermal behaviors of the converter as well as their coupling effects are simulated which improves the fidelity of the real-time simulation in multi-domain. The proposed model is datasheet driven and the modeling parameters are easy to acquire, which makes the proposed model easy to popularize and convenient to use. The electro-thermal model is implemented in FPGA with a nanosecond-level time-step, and real-time experiments are conducted to validate its effectiveness.
