摘要
A coating of carbide-derived carbon on SiC was prepared using chlorination at 1000°C. The tribological behaviors of untreated SiC, commercial graphite and CDC coating were investigated in air with a relative humidity of 49%-50%. The results show that CDC is good solid lubricant and it exhibited better tribological performance than commercially available graphite. CDC showed excellent wear resistance at both low load and high speed. The nano-structured nature and interface between CDC and SiC might contribute to the superior tribological performance of CDC.
