Automated Directivity Testing of Transducers with Integrated Control and Signal Processing

摘要

The directivity of a transducer is a crucial parameter that affects its performance in various applications, such as ultrasonic testing, underwater acoustics, and medical imaging. To accurately measure the directivity pattern of the underwater acoustic transducer, an automated control system was designed to precisely position the transducer and the test object. A signal generator provided the excitation signal to the transducer, while the data acquisition instrument captured the response signals. Filters were employed to eliminate noise and interference, ensuring the accuracy of the measurements. The directivity patterns were then analyzed using specialized software to obtain the directivity index and beamwidth. The results showed that the automated system significantly improved the efficiency and accuracy of the directivity testing process compared to traditional manual methods. The findings of this study have important implications for the development and optimization of transducers in different fields.
