摘要

The stability of wind power grid integration depends on both control technology of wind power and grid condition, which interact with one another. Due to lack of simplified analytical methods, current grid codes could not propose clear and intuitive requirements for reactive power injection of wind power, increasing the risk of system voltage instability as well as voltage and power oscillations. This paper first introduces the influence of voltage stability of wind power integration, then analyzes four commonly used voltage analysis methods and their advantages and disadvantages. Then, a simplified method for voltage stability analysis of wind power integration is proposed, which is a combination of the classic power system stability theory and the modern wind turbine control technology. The presented method is verified comparing to both results of transient simulation and data of a power oscillation incident in Northwest China, meanwhile proving the effective application for both calculation accuracy and calculation time-consuming. The method can fill in the gap of ambiguous reactive power injection requirements in grid codes, and can be easily used to solve practical problems.
