N2 - In this work, a near-field shooting and bouncing ray (SBR) algorithm for calculating the near-field RCS of targets is proposed. The proposed algorithm first uses the triangular meshes on the object surface as ray tubes and performs ray tracing based on them. Then, the near-field SBR integration formula is derived, and effective ray tubes are integrated and accumulated to obtain the total near-field scattering of the object. The effectiveness of the proposed algorithm is verified by comparing the results with the near-field scattering simulation formula for a flat and the multilevel fast multipole method (MLFMM) for a dihedral corner reflector.
