摘要
A eutectoid decomposition of β → τ1 + γ was revealed in the Ru-containing γ-TiAl alloys by means of in-situ synchrotron radiation observation. The lamellar products formed by cooperative growth was observed after Ar quenching and evolved into non-lamellar morphology with the cooling rate decreasing. The lamellar eutectoid nodulus either precipitated attaching to γ phase or directly nucleated in parent β phase. The approximate eutectoid composition is 39.03%Ti, 50.25%Al and 10.71%Ru. The τ1 product in one nodulus processes the same crystallographic orientation but unclear orientation relationship with γ product. In addition, the diffusion-controlled eutectoid decomposition is quite sluggish because of the slow diffusion rate of Ru atom.
