A Droop-based Energy Management Strategy for Electric Aircraft Hybrid Power System

摘要

To ensure the durability of the fuel cell system and the safety of the electric aircraft, an energy management strategy based on droop control is utilized in this paper. This method makes good use of the fast nature of the lithium battery to cope with the various sudden changes in load during aircraft flight, thus making the power changes in the fuel cell as small as possible and thus protecting the fuel cell system. Simulations were carried out for three different SOC scenarios, under sudden load increases, sudden load decreases and sinusoidal perturbations, and the simulation results proved that the proposed approach could achieve the expected expectations. In addition, an experimental set-up is constructed in the laboratory and the experimental results also proved the feasibility and correctness of the proposed method.
