摘要
The synergistic strategies including dopamine-epoxy-terminated silicone oil and nitric acid-epoxy-terminated silicone oil were em⁃ ployed,respectirely,to modify the carbon fibers in this study. The surface morphology and chemical functional groups of fibers were charac⁃ terized and compared. The mechanism of chemical synergistic modification was further explored. In addition,the surface microstructure,roughness and pore structure of paper-based friction material were also described. The effect mechanism of synergistic modification on the mechanical and tribological properties of paper-based friction material was further studied. The results showed that the synergistic strategy of nitric acid-epoxy-terminated silicone oil was more conducive to improve mechanical properties and wear resistance of paper-based friction materials. Compared with unmodified paper-based friction material,the tensile and interlaminar shear strength of modified paper-based fric⁃ tion materials were increased by 25. 8% and 23. 6%,respectively,and wear rate decreased to 0. 620×10−8 cm3/J. Compared with dopamine pretreatment,the nitric acid etching process could not only provide more active sites for the subsequent grafting modification of epoxy-based silicone oil,but also increase the chemical crosslink density between carbon fibers and the resin.
