摘要

The methods combining numerical simulation and experiment were adopted to study the weld line deflection in the flow forming of welded tube. Firstly, a 3D elasto-plastic finite element (FE) model for flow forming of welded tube considering the difference of mechanical properties between weld line and base metal was established. The reliability of the finite element model was verified by spinning experiments. The simulation and experimental results show that the trajectory of the deflected weld line is approximately a cylindrical helix, and the degree of deflection can be characterized by the helix angle. Then, the uniform experiment was designed in combination with the maximin Latin square experimental method. Combined with the regression analysis, the quantitative relationship between the forming parameters (reduction rate, feed ratio, working angle and fillet radius of rollers) and the deflection degree of the weld line was established. The prediction of the deflection degree of weld line under different forming parameters was realized. The prediction results are in good agreement with the experimental results.
