摘要

To determine the technological parameters of assembly errors of offset face gear pairs, the coordinate systems and computational models for tooth contact analysis (TCA) of the offset face gear with assembly errors are investigated in this paper. Based on the contact patch of TCA, an analysis method for calculating the assembly error tolerance and sensitivity was proposed and programmed by Matlab. In this method, assembly errors tolerance was characterized by the tolerance limit value, and assembly error sensitivity was characterized by the offset of the contact point position and the direction angle of the contact line. The results show that the shaft angle error is the most sensitive with the worst tolerance, and the offset error is the least sensitive with the best tolerance. Therefore, the shaft angle error must be strictly controlled in actual assembly. The tolerance for the right tooth surface is better than that for left tooth surfaces. As the offset value increases, the tolerance level increases for the right tooth surface and decreases for the left tooth surface. The movement of the contact point position because of assembly errors on tooth surfaces mainly occurs along the tooth width, and not in the tooth depth, while the rules of changing the offset of the contact point position on tooth surfaces are the same, but the direction angles of the contact line change in the opposite direction.
