Abstract
We aim at a workshop-manager system that overcomes a certain defect in the workshop-manager system of SAP company or ORACLE company (this defect is that their systems are not completely adaptable to the management of the manufacturing cell under conditions prevailing in China) and provides a scheduling algorithm base that is lacking in the results of much Chinese research[1-5]. Different from SAP's or ORACLE'S system, the workshop-manager system based on component developed by us is fully adaptable to the conditions in China. We establish the structure of our workshop-manager system; our system structure includes 5 layers: application soft layer, shell component layer, sustaining component layer, core component layer, virtual database layer. Our workshop-manager system's platform includes three bases: standard component base, current component base and scheduling algorithm base. Xi'an Engine Company has utilized our workshop-manager system in their management of manufacturing process and found it effective.
