Abstract

Localization of nodes is a key technology for application of wireless sensor networks. A Weighted Centroid Localization Algorithm was proposed based on Difference correction (DWCLA) for wireless sensor networks, which dealt with the error of the range measurement when the nodes used Weighted Centroid Localization Algorithm (WCLA). The new algorithm let beacons measured the distances from each other, and then obtained error factors using their position. Nodes employed the error factors of the nearest beacons to correct their range measurement, and also correct their weights. The simulation result shows that the DWCLA can decrease the infection of measurement error and improve the localization precision.
