Abstract

The wind speed prediction is key to the predict control system of wind turbine, the wind speed prediction is normally based on the whole wind speed. The third order of the high frequency parts of the whole wind speed are changed greatly, to get good control and avoid high frequency work of controller, the low frequency parts of the wind speed are picked up through the decomposition of the wind speed by wavelet multi analysis. By analyzing the predict result of smoothed data by time series and the decomposed result of predicated original wind speed by wavelet, the error between the two signals is small, so the wavelet analysis can be applied to the wind speed prediction of the wind turbine predict control system.
