Abstract
The development and application of the virtual prototyping technology are presented. The theoretical basis of multibody system dynamics is also given. By using the commercial software LMS Virtual. Lab, virtual prototyping simulations and its application in the gun system were presented. The simulations of the gun system were validated with the existed experimental results. At last, the dynamic behavior and shooting precision of the system were optimized.
