Abstract

To settle MDO (multidisciplinary optimization) failure induced by change of geometry model face number, a data-link method, which used face name in replace of face number as data link index, was provided. A program of the method, coded to link SOLIDWORKS and ICEM. CFD, was used in a turbine blade MDO process. The result shows that the method can keep the MDO process correct in a condition that face number changes randomly.
