Abstract

In this paper, an ultra-wide dynamic range rectifier topology is proposed in order to solve the rectifier's early-breakdown problem in the multi-sine wireless powered endoscopic capsule applications. This proposed rectifier topology realizes an extended reverse breakdown voltage while maintaining its forward turn-on voltage, which enables a high power conversion efficiency even with an ultra-high peak-to-average power ratio (PAPR) multi-sine excitation. Theoretical analysis and experiment results validate that the proposed circuit greatly increases its reverse breakdown voltage and maintains its forward turn-on voltage, which enables an ultra-wide dynamic power range for the multi-sine wireless powered endoscopic capsules.
