Abstract
The synthesis of 2-(n-Dodecyldithio)-benzothiazole is described. Their antiwear, antifriction, extreme pressure and antioxidation performance is examined in liquid paraffin. The synthesized product has been found to exhibit appreciable antiwear. The film formed by the additive during sliding process was investigated by using X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy and EPMA.
